Originating as far back as the Medieval era, ribbons have always been a traditional way to share messages. During the AIDS crisis of the late 1900s, red ribbons were used as a symbol by artists and activists to show compassion for people living with AIDS and their caregivers.
This initial use of the ribbon spawned the many variations we see today, from pink for breast cancer to light blue for prostate cancer. Whether you, a loved one, or even a colleague is suffering from a chronic or terminal illness, show support with an awareness ribbon. March is Kidney Health Awareness month; spread awareness with an orange ribbon embroidered patch!
